ESSDA & SYFA small sided football registrations are in calendar years.

•   2014 (12s) playing Nines 9s for First Half before moving to 11v11 after summer with SERYFA
•   2015 (11s) playing Soccer 7s until summer and the Nines 9s until the end of the season
•   2016 (10s) and 2017 (9s) will play Soccer 7s all season
•   2018 (8s) playing Super 5s
•   2019 (7s)  playing Football 4s

All players should be registered with SYFA at SFA Comet before the start of the season.
Any team playing in the wrong age group will be reported to SYFA and the coaches/officials might be kicked out of SYFA. Please follow the SFA Player Journey.

NOTE:  ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED TO THE AGE GROUP THEY ARE PLAYING, THIS MIGHT NOT BE THEIR BIRTH AGE GROUP.
eg A 2016 child playing in a 2015 team must be registered to the 2015 age group and thereafter cannot play in a 2016 team.

Teams playing  winter football or futsal must be registered with SYFA to play and must apply for permission from ESSDA/SYFA.

Any festival which claims "permission is not required" is misleading you. SYFA Supplementary & Playing Rules state that permission is always necessary.
Playing in unauthorised events or without permission could see you and your team expelled from SYFA.
