The Scottish FA South East Region are hosting several workshops in
August to support local clubs within the Region’s Small-Sided Games
Associations. Five Free workshops will be held across all local authority
areas.
The workshops are for coaches who want to further develop their coaching
skills and knowledge to provide high quality coaching sessions for their
clubs. Sessions will be separated into two sections, one for 4-aside coaches
and one for 7-aside coaches. Tutors will focus on areas such as individual
technique development as well as developing the foundations for tactical play
that will allow players to develop as individuals as well as within the team
environment. The sessions will also address the rules of the game by age and
stage.
Sessions will take place on the following days;
●Monday 2nd August - Bankton Mains (Venue TBC), West Lothian
(6.30-8.00pm)
●Wednesday 4th August - Peffermill, Edinburgh (6.30 - 8.00pm)
●Friday 6th August - Netherdale Stadium, Galashiels (7.00 -
8.30pm)
●Wednesday 11th August - Hallhill, Dunbar (6.30 - 8.00pm)
●Monday 23rd August - Poltonhall Recreation Ground, Bonnyrigg
(6.00 - 7.30pm)
Coaches attending the sessions will also receive some free resources that they
can take back and use at their clubs.
